3rd video

Well, here is the last part.

2nd part

Hello,
Here is the second part. This goes into how to join rings.

1st part of needle tatting video

Ok,
I think I have this figured out. I will be doing three seperate blog postings to upload the Needle tatting video.
It is rough editing and ends abruptly.

Thanks for watching.

I am really behind here

Hi,
Sorry it has been so long since I updated this. Have had a flare up and then went home for my nephew's graduation party and to see my grand-nephew for the first time. I had a great time. My nephew, Devyn, had grown into a handsome young man who will be joining the Navy in the fall. And little Landon is just a cutie. He did not want to let go of my finger when I had to tell him goodbye. Not bad for a 6 month old.

Anyway, I was searching through my stuff and found a video that I did for a needle tatting class I taught at the Ft. Lewis WA Women's Conference in 2008. Video is long - almost 29 minutes but not bad for a first time video. I am going to have to break it into three segements so pardon the disjointed and abrupt transitions. I will be doing an updated one in the next few months.

I also have a video on basic quilling that I will post as soon as I find it.

Thanks for reading.

I haven't forgotten

Hello,
I haven't forgotten about my big project. Just been busy with other things. I will be teaching next week as well as doing the Second Saturday Craft show on June 11th. I also picked up three new cartridges yesterday and today. Actually hubby picked out one - he said I just had to have it. I got Walk in My Garden, Stretch Your Imagination and Jasmine (hubby's choice). They were on sale at Joann's so I saved a little over $150 on them. With the things I bought yesterday and today, I saved over $200 with the sales and then the 20% off for military dependents.
Well, I need to get some card fronts done. I will be taking some pictures so I can post them in the next couple of days.
Thanks for reading.

3 done

Hello,
Finally finished with Inspired Heart. Must say it was a learning experience as far as the phrase cuts were concerned. Have to put this project on hold as I have a craft show on Saturday to do some prepping for.
Am also working on a project that I scraplifted from "The Paper Boutique" and Split Coast Stampers. It is the Faux wallet. I used Modge Podge on them. Not sure if like it better on one side or both sides. Interesting effect. Will see if can make a video/post pictures of my results this weekend.
Speaking of videos, I do have videos on how to needletat and some quilling. I will find them and post them this weekend as well.
Well, off to do some things.
Talk to you later.

2 and a half done

Hello,
I just wanted to update on my project. I have managed to do George and Plantin Schoolbook. Am working on Inspired Heart. Have the images done, just working on the phrases. They are harder as there are some very skinny lines being cut. But should finish it up tomorrow. Then will see which one I choose. With these cartridges, I just used cardstock I got from Walmart and am not mounting them on background cuts. I will have to do some layering when I do some of the other cartridge cuts.
Well, it is late and I need to get some sleep. More update tomorrow.
Bye,
Wendy

Welcome to my first blogging experience

Hello,
My name is Wendy and I have been crafting in one shape or form for as long as I can remember.
My interests are as follows: needlecrafts such as cross stitching, sewing, knitting, crocheting, needle/shuttle tatting, paper crafts, cardmaking. I also enjoy reading, volunteering and seeing what others are creating.
I have been married to my hubby for over 15 years. We share our house with a petite but ornery cat named Necco (hubby adopted her and named her) and a stray I found at the grocery store the Wednesday before Thanksgiving called Poppy. We had another dog, Minnie, who crossed over the Rainbow Bridge a couple of weeks ago after spending 15 years with us.
Anyway, I thought I would create this blog to follow my trials and tribulations of crafting. My first project that I will be sharing is making a note book that contains samples of cuts from the Cricut Cartridges that I own. My reason for this is that sometimes it is hard to choose what cut you want to use without seeing it. Also, if someone wants me to create something for them, it would make it easier if they can see what I have available and have some choices.
Well, I think that is all for now. Will update with my first cartridge layouts.
